A Journey Through The Rise (And Fall?) of The Capitaloce ne DESCRIPTION:\n\nZur Eröffnung der Ausstellung zeigen wir die Videoinstalla tion BACK HOME! A JOURNEY THROUGH THE RISE (AND FALL?) OF THE CAPITALOCENE von Aleksi Kuesy in unserem Club Kino.\n\nIn den letzten vier Jahrzehnten ist es der Politik nicht gelungen\, ein wirksames globales Abkommen zu sc hließen\, um die schädlichen Veränderungen des Erdklimas zu stoppen\, d ie unter anderem durch die fossile Brennstoffindustrie verursacht werden. Dieser Weg bringt die Erde in Gefahr\, sich in eine lebensfeindliche Umgeb ung zu verwandeln\, in der immer mehr Ökosysteme zerstört werden.\n\nIn der Installation verfolgt Aleksi Kuesy die Entwicklung der politischen\, w issenschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Attitüde zum immer präsenter we rdenden Thema des Klimawandels\, wie wir sie in den letzten 40 Jahren erle bt haben. Durch das Zwei-Kanal-Format entwickelt sich ein Dialog zwischen verschiedenen historischen und gesellschaftlichen Dimensionen\, und ein Ap pell wird hörbar: Der Status Quo muss dringend verändert werden!\n\nBACK HOME! kann man einerseits als einen Film sehen\, besser gesagt als zwei F ilme\, die man aber unbedingt gleichzeitig schauen muss. In diesem Fall is t BACK HOME! ein Spiegel\, der der Gesellschaft vorgehalten wird\, um die Dimension\, Komplexität und manchmal Absurdität der Debatte um den Klima wandel sichtbar und hörbar zu machen.\n\nMan kann aber BACK HOME! ebenso als eine Installation betrachten\, zu der man immer wieder zurückkehren k ann\, um sich auf die Worte und Ideen im Einzelnen zu konzentrieren.\n\n&n bsp\;\n\nFor the opening we are showing the video installation BACK HOME! OF THE CAPITALOCENE by Aleksi Kues y in our small cinema.\nOver the past four decades\, politicians have fail ed to reach an effective global agreement to stop the harmful changes to t he Earth's climate caused by the fossil fuel industry\, among other things . This path is putting the Earth at risk of turning into a hostile environ ment in which more and more ecosystems are being destroyed.\n\nIn his inst allation Aleksi Kuesy traces the evolution of political\, scientific and s ocial attitudes towards the increasingly present issue of climate change a s we have experienced it over the last 40 years. The two-channel format cr eates a dialogue between different historical and social dimensions\, and an appeal becomes audible - the status quo urgently needs to be changed. \ n\nOn the one hand\, BACK HOME! can be seen as a film\, or rather as two films that must be watched simultaneously.
