 nZahra und Maria studieren Medizin in Bukarest in den 70er Jahren in Rumä
 nien. Sie entwickeln eine tiefe\, intime Freundschaft\, die auch dann best
 ehen bleibt\, wenn Zahra in ihre Heimat\, Iran\, zurückkehrt\, um die dor
 t anbahnende Revolution mitzugestalten. In dem Briefwechsel der Freundinne
 n zeichnet sich die Geschichte zweier Revolutionen ab\, mit all ihren Ambi
 valenzen\, Hoffnungen und Ängsten. Die Revolutionen verbleiben aber nicht
  nur auf der politischen Ebenen\, denn sie sind unzertrennlich mit persön
 lichen Perspektiven und Gefühlen von Maria und Zahra verbunden\, die mit 
 gesellschaftlichen Normen ringen. Der Film ist ein harmonisches Zusammensp
 iel des visuellen Archivmaterials\, fiktiver Korrespondenz\, die allerding
 s auf echten Dokumenten der rumänischen Geheimpolizei basiert\, und hervo
 rragendem Sounddesign.\nENG: Zahra and Maria study medicine in Bucharest i
 n Romania in the 1970s. They develop a deep\, intimate friendship that las
 ts even when Zahra returns to her homeland\, Iran\, to contribute to the r
 evolution taking shape there. The friends' correspondence tells the story 
 of two revolutions\, with all their ambivalences\, hopes and fears. Howeve
 r\, the revolutions do not only remain on a political level\, as they are 
 inextricably linked to the personal perspectives and feelings of Maria and
  Zahra\, who struggle with social norms. The film is a harmonious interpla
 y of visual archive material\, fictional correspondence based on real docu
 ments from the Romanian secret police and outstanding sound design.\n\nDie
