George Floyd wurde von Polizisten ermordet.
Seine Geschichte ist kein Einzelfall. Er ist einer von vielen. Die Behörden die vorgeben für Sicherheit und Frieden zu sorgen, sind für uns eine Gefahr. Viele Menschen in Minneapolis und anderen US- amerikanischen Städten sind nicht länger bereit diese Gefahr in Kauf zu nehmen und protestieren. Sie zeigen, dass Rassismus nur eine Antwort kennt: Kämpferische Entschlossenheit und Solidarität — und zwar solange bis wir gehört werden und solange bis die rassistischen Strukturen in Behörden und überall in der Gesellschaft überwunden sind. Dass das kein leichter Kampf wird, beweist der mächtigste Mann der Welt. Der US-Präsident hetzt Seite an Seite mit white suprememacists und anderen Faschos gegen die Protestierenden und ruft die Sicherheitsbehörden zu weiterer Gewalt auf.
Diese gehorchen: Sie schießen mit Gummigeschossen und Elektrowaffen auf friedliche Demonstrant*innen, benutzen Tränengas oder fahren mit Autos in Menschenmengen.
Institutioneller Rassismus ist aber nicht nur ein US-amerikanisches Problem. In Deutschland konnte der NSU jahrelang unterstützt durch den Verfassungschutz morden. In Frankfurt schickten Polizist*innen Drohbriefe an eine NSU-Nebenklagevertreterin und immer wieder töten Polizist*innen aus rassistischen Motiven. Gerechtigkeit können Betroffene nur in den seltensten Fällen erwarten. Ein internationales Problem, verlangt eine internationale Antwort.

George Floyd was murdered by police.
He is not alone. He is one of many. The institutions that claim to protect and serve threaten us instead. People in Minneapolis and other US cities are no longer willing to accept that threat and have taken to the streets. They have shown that racism can only be answered in one way: through fierce determination and solidarity, until we are heard and until racist structures in every institution and in society have disappeared. The most powerful man in the world has proven to us that this is not an easy undertaking. The President of the United States stands with white supremacists and other fascists against the protestors and calls for further violence. The police and other „peacekeeping“ forces listen: they shoot at peaceful protestors with rubber bullets, use tear gas and tasers, and drive cars into crowds.
However, institutionalized racism is not only a problem in the United States. The NSU was allowed to murder for years, supported by the Verfassungsschutz. In Frankfurt, police officers sent threatening letters to plaintiffs in the NSU case. Again and again, police in Germany kill with racist motives. Justice is only served in the rarest of cases. An international problem demands an international answer.

George Floyd a été assassiné par des officiers de police.
Son histoire n’est pas un incident isolé. Il n’est qu’un parmi tant d’autres. Les autorités qui se prétendent les gardiennes de la paix et de la sécurité sont un danger pour nous. De nombreuses personnes à Minneapolis et dans d’autres villes américaines ne sont plus disposées à accepter ce danger et à protester. Ils montrent que le racisme n’a qu’une seule réponse : lutter avec détermination et solidarité — jusqu’à ce que nous soyons entendu.e.s et que les structures racistes au sein des autorités et partout dans la société soient surmontées. L’homme le plus puissant du monde prouve que ce ne sera pas un combat facile. Le président américain se précipite aux côtés des tenants de la suprématie blanche et d’autres fascistes contre les manifestants et appelle les autorités de sécurité à recourir davantage à la violence. Ils obéissent : ils tirent avec des balles en caoutchouc et des armes électriques sur des manifestant.e.s pacifiques, utilisent des gaz lacrymogènes ou conduisent des voitures dans la foule.
Mais le racisme institutionnel n’est pas seulement un problème américain. En Allemagne, le NSU a pu assassiner pendant des années, avec le soutien du Verfassungsschutz. À Francfort, des policières ont envoyé des lettres de menace à un procureur de la NSU et, à maintes reprises, des policières tuent pour des motifs racistes. Les personnes concernées ne peuvent s’attendre à ce que justice soit rendue que dans les cas les plus rares. Un problème international exige une réponse internationale.
