 \n\n\nBOOTS ON THE GROUND\, HANDS IN THE SOIL dreht sich um die bemerkensw
 erte spirituelle Verbindung zwischen der Filmemacherin Karolina Uskakovych
  und ihrer charismatischen Großmutter Zoya\, einer stolzen ukrainischen R
 entnerin\, die ihren antikapitalistischen\, bäuerlichen Lebensstil schät
 zt. Im Winter 2021 schenkt Zoya Karolina ein Päckchen mit ihren geerntete
 n Tomatensamen. Die nächste Anbausaison fällt jedoch mit der verheerende
 n Invasion der Ukraine durch die Russische Föderation zusammen. Unbeeindr
 uckt von den Umständen begeben sich Zoya und Karolina auf eine einzigarti
 ge Reise\, bei der sie gemeinsam online ihre Gärten pflegen. Sie kümmern
  sich um ihre Pflanzen und führen wichtige Gespräche über die Bedeutung
  dieser uralten Praxis in Kriegszeiten.\n\nIn ihrem anschließenden Vortra
 g gibt Karolina Uskakovych Einblicke in ihre künstlerisch-wissenschaftlic
 he Praxis\, in der sie persönliche Erfahrungen mit ökologischen Frageste
 llungen und Forschungen verknüpft. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei die Rolle v
 on Urban Gardening im Kontext des Krieges – ein Ausgangspunkt für eine 
 Auseinandersetzung mit lokalen Wissenssystemen\, ökologischer Resilienz u
 nd der Transformation postindustrieller Landschaften. Der Vortrag von Uska
 kovych wird in englischer Sprache gehalten. Im Anschluss findet eine offen

 e Leipzig e.V.\nDie Ausstellung SHIFTING GROUNDS wird im Rahmen des 12. Fe
 stival Politik im Freien Theater gefördert durch die Bundeszentrale für 
 politische Bildung.\nENG: BOOTS ON THE GROUND\, HANDS IN THE SOIL centres 
 around the remarkable spiritual bond shared by the filmmaker Karolina Uska
 kovych and her charismatic grandmother\, Zoya\, a proud Ukrainian pensione
 r who cherishes her non-capitalist peasant lifestyle. In winter 2021\, Zoy
 a presented Karolina with a package of her harvested tomato seeds. The nex
 t growing season\, however\, coincided with the Russian Federation’s dev
 astating invasion of Ukraine. Undeterred by the dire circumstances\, Zoya 
 and Karolina embarked on a unique journey of tending their gardens togethe
 r online. They nurtured their plants and engaged in important conversation
 s\, shedding light on the significance of this age-old practice during war
 time. (Ukrainian with English subtitles)\nIn her subsequent lecture\, Karo
 lina Uskakovych provides insights into her artistic and scientific practic
 e\, in which she combines personal experiences with ecological issues and 
 research. The focus is on the role of urban gardening in the context of wa
 r – a starting point for an examination of local knowledge systems\, eco
 logical resilience and the transformation of post-industrial landscapes. U
 skakovych's lecture will be held in English. It will be followed by an ope
