  deutschen Untertiteln)\n\n\nNach zehn Jahren in Deutschland\, wo er „di
 e schöne Sprache des ehemaligen Erzfeindes“ erwarb\, kehrt der Filmemac
 her Offer Avnon\, Sohn eines polnischen Holocaust-Überlebenden\, zurück 
 nach Haifa. Er lässt seine Zeit zwischen Rhein und Neiße Revue passieren
 \, schaut aber auch mit verändertem Blick auf seine Heimat. Das Resultat 
 ist eine komplexe Montage von Bildern dieser Jahre: Gespräche\, Landschaf
 ten und Gegenstände\, gesucht und gefunden in Deutschland\, Polen und Isr
 ael.\n\nRegisseur Offer Avnon stellt seinen Gegenübern von Görlitz bis H
 aifa unbequeme Fragen. Aber er stellt sie auch uns\, dem Publikum. Auf sei
 ne Fragen bekommt er manch erschreckende Antwort. Und manchmal scheint es 
 auch gar keine zu geben. Über den Eröffnungsfilm des DOK Leipzig 2021 sc
 hreibt Festivalleiter Christoph Terhechte: „Wie ist die Wahrnehmung\, da
 s Bewusstsein\, die Erinnerung des Einzelnen geprägt durch seine Zugehör
 igkeit zu einer Nation\, einer Religion oder politischen Gruppierung? (…
 ) Kein Bild\, kein Satz\, der nicht mannigfaltige Assoziationen auslöste.

 n\nAfter ten years in Germany\, the filmmaker Offer Avnon\, son of a Polis
 h Holocaust survivor\, returns to Haifa. He looks back on his time between
  the rivers Rhine and Neisse\, but also now looks at his homeland with a d
 ifferent perspective. The result is a complex montage of images from these
  years: conversations\, landscapes and objects sought and found in Germany
 \, Poland and Israel. Festival director Christoph Terhechte writes about t
