In einer Zeit\, di e von mehreren Krisen gleichzeitig geprägt ist – wirtschaftlicher Unsic herheit\, Klimakatastrophe und den bleibenden Folgen des Kolonialismus – bestimmt ein komplexes Wechselspiel aus Vertrauen und Zweifel unseren All tag und die gesellschaftlichen Strukturen. Berdikari – ein indonesisch es Wort\, das so viel wie „auf eigenen Beinen stehen“ bedeutet – wir d hier zur Praxis von Selbstbestimmung und kollektiver Fürsorge in Zeiten von Unsicherheit und Ausgrenzung.\n\nMit Essen\, Klang und filmischem Erz ählen verwandelt dieses gemeinsame Essen Rezepte in lebendige Erinnerungs archive und den Tisch in einen Raum für gelebte Erinnerung. Welche Geschi chten tragen wir in unseren Körpern\, in unserem Mund? Wie helfen uns gem einsame Mahlzeiten\, das Spannungsfeld zwischen Vertrauen und Misstrauen z u verarbeiten – und wie können sie uns dabei unterstützen\, gemeinsam in eine ungewisse Zukunft zu gehen?\n\n \;\nENG: Responding to Mouth A rchives’ exploration of the mouth as a site of memory and exchange\, Emp athy Supper – Berdikari by Ariel Orah and Asarela Dewi (sōydivision) of fers a performative and cinematic dining experience rooted in reflection\, resilience\, and diasporic survival.\nBoth artists\, who migrated to Germ any in 2012\, use this gathering to revisit a decade of shared diasporic e xperience – navigating identity\, cultural negotiation\, and institution al distrust. In the context of today’s overlapping polycrises – econom ic instability\, climate emergency\, and the enduring legacies of colonial ism – a complex dialectic of trust and suspicion shapes both everyday li fe and structural systems. Berdikari (Indonesian for “standing on one’ s own feet”) becomes a practice of self-reliance and collective care ami d uncertainty and exclusion.\nThrough food\, sound\, and cinematic storyte lling\, this supper reimagines recipes as living archives and the table as a space for embodied memory. What stories do we carry in our bodies\, in our mouths?
