Liebe Freund*innen der Initiative 12. August,

Mit diesen Worten laden wir Euch ein gemeinsam mit uns Raúl Garcia Paret und Delfin Guerra zu gedenken. Die beiden kubanischen Vertragsarbeiter kamen am 12. August 1979 bei einer rassistischen Hetzjagd ums Leben.

Denn damals bis heute gilt: Rassismus tötet. Setzt mit uns ein Zeichen für ein aktives Gedenken, das Ende rassistischer Kontinuitäten und die (gesellschaftliche) Aufarbeitung der Geschehnisse um den 12. August 1979, denn auch dieses Jahr heißt es: 43 Jahre Schweigen sind genug!

18:00 Uhr an der Kliaplatte beginnen wir mit einem Stück des freien Ensembles p&s GbR unter der Leitung von Tomy Suil: „REVOLUTION DER STILLE/ LA REVOLUCION DEL SILENCIO“

Wir empfehlen eine gemeinsame Zuganreise aus Leipzig und Halle. (Halle: 17:15 Uhr Gleis 5 A-C/ Leipzig: 16:45 Uhr Gleis 2)

19: 30 Uhr an der Neumarktbrücke beginnt die Gedenkveranstaltung für Raúl und Delfin.

Im Mittelpunkt stehen dieses Jahr die Beiträge der Angehörigen von Delfin Guerra.

Con estas palabras les invitamos a unirse con nosotros para recordar a Raúl García Paret y Delfín Guerra. Los dos trabajadores cubanos contratados que murieron el 12 de agosto de 1979 en una cacería racista.
Desde ese entonces hasta hoy: el racismo mata. Únanse a nosotros en un recuerdo activo, en el fin de la continuidad racista y en la revisión (social) de los acontecimientos del 12 de agosto de 1979.

Porque también este año el lema es: ¡43 años de silencio son suficientes!

18:00 h. en el Kliaplatte comenzaremos con una obra del conjunto independiente p&s GbR, dirigida por Tomy Suil: „REVOLUTION DER STILLE/ LA REVOLUCION DEL SILENCIO“.

Recomendamos un viaje colectivo en tren desde Leipzig y Halle.

19:30 h. en el Neumarktbrücke
Se iniciará la ceremonia conmemorativa a Raúl y Delfín.
Este año, la atención se centrará en las intervenciones de los familiares de Delfín Guerra.

Dear friends of the initiative August 12,

With these words we invite you to join us in commemorating Raúl Garcia Paret and Delfin Guerra. The two Cuban contract workers were killed in a racist hunt on August 12, 1979.

Because then as today, racism kills. Join us in setting an example for active remembrance, the end of racist continuities and the (social) reappraisal of the events around August 12, 1979, because this year, too, we are saying: 43 years of silence are enough!

At 6:00 pm we will start at Kliaplatte with a piece by the independent ensemble p&s GbR directed by Tomy Suil: „REVOLUTION DER STILLE/ LA REVOLUCION DEL SILENCIO“.

The memorial for Raúl and Delfin begins at 7:30 pm at Neumarktbrücke.
This year, the focus is on the contributions of the relatives of Delfin Guerra.
