DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nDiese vier Kurzfilme historisieren und problematisier
 en zunächst die Präsenz Südostasiens in verschiedenen (post)sozialistis
 chen Kontexten. Eine Reportage über Kambodschaner:innen in der DDR in »B
 ruderhilfe« (Nico Mesterharm\, 2020) gibt Einblick in die komplizierte Ge
 schichte des südostasiatischen Festlandes seit dem Ende der französische
 n Kolonialzeit. Zur gleichen Zeit kamen viele Vertragsarbeiter:innen aus V
 ietnam in die DDR\, wie in »Sorge 87« (Thanh Nguyen Phuong\, 2020) durch
  Erzählungen der älteren Generation veranschaulicht wird. Diese generati
 onenübergreifende Komplexität und die Lücken in der Übersetzung entfal
 ten sich in »Love\, Dad« (Diana Cam Van Nguyen\, 2021)\, einem »Liebesb
 rief« eines vietnamesisch-tschechischen Illustrators. Der Filmabend schli
 eßt mit einem performativen K‑Pop-Tanz und Musik als Spektakel der revo
 lutionären Poetik der vietnamesisch-polnischen Diaspora\, wenn auch nicht
  als bloßes Spektakel\, in »If revolution is a sickness« (Diane Severin
  Nguyen\, 2021).\n\nDie Kurator:in Sarnt Utamachote wird im Anschluss mit 
 Thanh Nguyen Phuong zum Thema postmigrantisches Kino sprechen.\n\nFilme mi

 generation. This intergenerational complexity and gaps in translation unfo
 lds in »Love\, Dad« (Diana Cam Van Nguyen\, 2021)\, a love letter of a V
 ietnamese-Czech illustrator. The program concludes with a performative K
 ‑pop dance and music in spectacle of revolutionary poetics of Vietnamese
 -Polish diaspora\, if not just mere spectacle\, in »If revolution is a si
