 story of his family in Leipzig and their position in the fur trade. He wil
 l focus on the life of his father\, Ernst Moritz Felsenstein (1899-1973)\,
  both before and after 1933. A large collection of letters between him and
  Vera Hirsch (Felsenstein) from 1936 to 1939 offers a unique insight into 
 daily life under National Socialism. The Jewish community in Leipzig befor
