Die Festung Europa baut aus, an ihren Außengrenzen sowie im Inneren. Deutsche Institutionen setzen dabei alle Hebel in Bewegung, um die europäischen Vorgaben mit besonderer Härte in geltendes Recht zu überführen. Die angewendeten Repressalien limitieren nicht nur die Bewegungsfreiheit der Betroffenen massiv, sondern schränken gesellschaftlichen und sozialen Zugänge und Handlungsspielräume weiter ein.
Wir nehmen die fortschreitende Entrechtung von Menschen auf der Flucht nicht hin und organisieren am Sonntag, dem 17. Mai eine Infoveranstaltung und Hangout.
Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten für praktische Solidarität: werdet aktiv und informiert euch, zum Beispiel durch die Inputs von verschiedenen in Leipzig aktiven Gruppen!

TOGETHER AGAINST GEAS – Hangout and Information Session
📅 When? May 17, 2026, starting at 3:00 PM
📍 Where? Courtyard of the Ost-Passage Theater, Konradstr. 27 (next to Aldi)
Fortress Europe is expanding, both at its external borders and within its borders. German institutions are pulling out all the stops to transpose European directives into national law with particular severity. The repressive measures being applied not only severely limit the freedom of movement of those affected, but also further restrict social access and freedom of action.
We refuse to accept the ongoing disenfranchisement of people fleeing their homes and are organizing an information event and hangout on Sunday, May 17.
There are many ways to show practical solidarity: get involved and learn more, for example through the contributions of various groups active in Leipzig!

Film screening of “Anachoma”: an independent documentary about the clandestine pushback practices along the Evros River on the Greek-Turkish border (https://www.anachoma.com/, original languages with English subtitles, content note: violence)

ENSEMBLE CONTRE LE GEAS – Rencontre informelle et réunion d’information
📅 Quand ? Le 17 mai 2026, à partir de 15 h
📍 Où ? Cour intérieure du théâtre Ost-Passage, Konradstr. 27 (à côté d’Aldi)
La forteresse Europe se renforce, tant à ses frontières extérieures qu’à l’intérieur. Les institutions allemandes mettent tout en œuvre pour transposer les directives européennes dans le droit en vigueur avec une rigueur particulière. Les mesures répressives appliquées limitent non seulement massivement la liberté de circulation des personnes concernées, mais restreignent également davantage l’accès à la vie sociale et les marges de manœuvre.
Nous refusons la privation croissante des droits des personnes en fuite et organisons dimanche 17 mai une réunion d’information et un hangout.
Il existe de nombreuses possibilités de solidarité concrète : mobilisez-vous et informez-vous, par exemple grâce aux contributions de différents groupes actifs à Leipzig !
