KEIN LAND FÜR NIEMAND – ABSCHOTTUNG EINES EINWANDERUNGSLANDES (Dokumentarfilm)

Während sich Deutschlands Asyl- und Migrationspolitik zunehmend von humanitären Grundsätzen entfernt, eskaliert die Lage an den Außengrenzen der EU. Die Dokumentation KEIN LAND FÜR NIEMAND begleitet eine Rettungsmission im Mittelmeer, zeigt die katastrophalen Zustände in Lagern für Geflüchtete und gibt Menschen eine Stimme, die den lebensgefährlichen Weg nach Europa überlebt haben. Gleichzeitig blickt der Film auf die politische und gesellschaftliche Entwicklung in Deutschland: Ein erstarkender Rechtspopulismus prägt den Diskurs, Flucht und Migration wird zunehmend kriminalisiert und humanitäre Hilfe gerät unter Druck. Durch exklusive Interviews mit Aktivist*innen, Wissenschaftler*innen und politischen Entscheidungsträger*innen hinterfragt KEIN LAND FÜR NIEMAND die aktuellen Narrative über Flucht und Migration und beleuchtet die Mechanismen, mit denen Angst und Populismus die politische Agenda bestimmen.

Im Anschluss laden wir zum Filmgerspräch ein.

ENG: While Germany’s asylum and migration policy is increasingly moving away from humanitarian principles, the situation at the EU’s external borders is escalating. The documentary KEIN LAND FÜR NIEMAND accompanies a rescue mission in the Mediterranean Sea, shows the catastrophic conditions in refugee camps and gives a voice to people who have survived the life-threatening journey to Europe. At the same time, the film takes a look at political and social developments in Germany: a growing right-wing populism is shaping the discourse, flight and migration are increasingly being criminalized and humanitarian aid is coming under pressure. Through exclusive interviews with activists, academics and politicians, KEIN LAND FÜR NIEMAND questions the current narrative on flight and migration and sheds light on the mechanisms by which fear and populism determine the political agenda.
